Ensure seamless integration—make onboarding smooth and intuitive.
Place the paywall in the onboarding flow (60-80% of buyers convert here).
Show the paywall before requiring sign-up (higher conversions).
Offer a seamless sign-up experience (minimize friction).
Test sending a push notification 5-10 minutes after users abandon onboarding to remind them of the paywall.
Use a hard paywall for niche apps (fitness, meditation, etc.).
If not using a hard paywall, add a subtle ‘Maybe Later’ option instead of an X.
Gamify onboarding (e.g., progress bars, streaks).
Highlight app benefits clearly before showing the paywall.
Personalization & Social Proof
Ask personalization questions (“What’s your main goal with this app?”).
Use social proof & testimonials to build trust.
Borrow credibility (e.g., stats from studies).
